Apoorva Ugarkar, Ph.D., Deputy Manager for Drug Development (R&D), has been working with Sathgen therapeutics since 2020. She provides backend pharmaceutical and technical support in terms of literature research, upcoming trends and techniques in cancer research for the development of their lead and pipeline molecules.

She is actively involved in different programs involved in the NCE and drug development process from discovery to clinical trials. She plays a lead role in making the lead molecule market-ready by coordinating with the different CROs for varied activities like CGMP synthesis, formulation, performing various in-vivo, in-vitro, method development and analytical studies essential for the development of the molecules.

Dr. Ugarkar obtained her Masters and PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Bombay College of Pharmacy, Mumbai University.
